Ecclesiastes Chapter 9
空の空・空しさの空しさ
伝道の書 第9章
“For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this,
that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no
man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before
them.” (Verse
1)
『そは、我はこのすべての事に心を用いてこのすべての事を明らかにせんとせり すなわち義しき者と賢き者およびかれらの為すところは神の手にあるなるを明らかにせんとせり 愛か憎しみかは人これを知ることなしすべての事はかれらの前にあるなり』（1節）
Almighty Jehovah God on Thy Glorious Throne in the Highest
Heavens, I cry out unto Thee.
至高き天の汝の栄えに満つ玉座におはします全能のエホバなる神さま、私は汝に大声にて叫びまつります。
Please cause me to seriously consider in my heart all the things that Thou, my Creator God,
doest require of me during
my life under the sun.
わが創り主なる神でおはす汝が、日の下のわが人生にて私に命じられる一切の事を、わが心にどうぞ真剣に考えさせ給え。
Cause me to gravely consider that my life is in Thy Hand.
我が人生が汝のみ手の中にあることを私に厳粛に考えさせてください。
Save me from the vanity of rebelling against Thee.
汝に反逆することの空しさから私を救ってください。
Save me from the vanity of rebelling against the Divine Work
Thou desirest to do in my life with Thy Almighty
Hands.
汝がその全能のみ手をもって我が人生に為さんと切望される神聖な御業に反逆せんとの空しさから私を救ってください。
As My Creator God, Thou art The Master Potter.
我が創造者におはす神さま、汝は陶器師なり。
With Thy Divine, Loving Hands, please mold and shape every aspect
of
my life and my being, and all my life’s works into the righteous and
wise works Thou wouldest have them to be for Thy
Great Glory.
汝の神聖で、愛するみ手で、汝がそれらを汝の大いなるみ栄えのために望まれる義しきと賢き業へ、我が人生、我が心、またわが人生の業のあらゆる面をどうぞ練り形作りたまえ。
Please impute Thy Righteousness and Wisdom unto me.
汝の義しきと賢きとを私に転嫁してください。
Help me to now fully yield my entire being to Thee for that purpose.
その目的のために、汝にわが全存在をいま完全に捧げるように私を助けてください。
Thou art the Potter. I am the clay.
汝は陶器師なり。我は粘土なり。
Mold me and make me into a glorious being, I humbly pray.
み栄えに満ちた存在へと我を練り作りたまえ、私はへりくだりの思いで祈ります。
Cause me to work the things that are pleasing to Thee and which
glorify Thee.
汝を喜ばせ、汝のみ栄えを表すことを練って作ることを私にさせてください。
I beg Thee to teach me the things Thou doest love and also the
things Thou doest hate.
汝が愛される事を、また汝が憎まれる事をも私に教えてくださいますように汝にお願いします。
Please work in my heart to make it perfect in loving that which Almighty God
doest love and in hating that which Thou doest hate.
全能の神が愛されることを愛し、汝が憎まれることを憎むとき、それを完全にするためにどうぞわが心に働いてください。
Please give me perfect knowledge of God’s Love and Hatred.
神の愛と憎しみの完全な知識をどうぞ私にお与えください。
I pray these things for all other people also.
私はまた、他の人々すべてのためにこれらの事を祈ります。
Perfect us all!
我らのすべてを完全にしてください。
Save us all from all vanity!
あらゆる空しさから我らのすべてを救ってください。
“All things come alike
to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and
to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth,
and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so
is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.” (Verse 2)
『すべての人に臨む所は皆同じ 義しき者にも悪しき者にも善き者にも 浄き者にも穢れたる者にも 犠牲(いけにえ)を捧ぐる者にも犠牲を捧げぬ者にもその臨むところの事は同一(ひとつ)なり 善人も罪人も異ならず 誓をなす者も誓をなすことを畏るゝ者に異ならず』（2節）
Lord Jesus, please save me from
the fatal vanity of being wicked. 主主イエスさま、邪悪であることの致命的な空しさからどうぞ私を救ってください。
Please create within me a heart totally repentant of all my wickedness.
私のあらゆる邪悪を全く悔い改める心を、どうぞ私の中に創造してください。
Please help me to totally yield my self unto Thee for the
purpose of Thee perfecting Thy Righteousness in me.
私の中に汝の義しさを完成されるという汝の目的のために、汝に私の自己をまったく捧げるように、どうぞ私を助けてください。
Save me from the vanity of being unclean.
穢れることの空しさから私を救ってください。
By Thy Unlimited Power, have
mercy on me a sinner, to save me and make me clean and good.
汝の無限の力によって、私を救い、私を潔く善き人にするために、罪人である私を憐れんでください。
Please cleanse me from my sins
by Thy Precious Blood Thou didst shed on the cross for my sins.
汝が十字架上で私の罪のために流された汝の尊い血によって私の罪から私を潔めてください。
Teach me what I should
sacrifice unto Thee.
私は汝に何を犠牲にすべきかを教えてください。
Help me to present my self a living sacrifice unto Thee, holy and
acceptable unto God.
聖く神に受け入れられる、生ける犠牲としてわが身を、汝に捧げるように私を助けてください。
Please help me to be most
careful of the words I speak, especially regarding oaths and promises.
私が話すことばに特に誓いと約束に関して、よく気をつけますようにどうぞ私を助けてください。
I pray these things for all other people also.
私はまた、他の人々すべてのためにこれらの事を祈ります。
Please cause me to constantly
bear in mind that, at any time, death could overtake me, or overtake any family
member or friend or acquaintance.
いつなんどき、死が私に突然ふりかかり、あるいは家族の一員や友人や知人に突然ふりかかるかも知れないことを、どうぞ私に絶えず、心に留めさせてください。
Please cause people to repent
and to trust in Christ in order to be prepared for death.
死のために準備されるために、どうぞ人々に悔い改めてキリストを信じるようにさせてください。
“This is an evil among all things that
are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart
of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they
live, and after that they go to the dead.” (Verse 3)
『すべての人に臨むところのことの同一(ひとつ)なるはこれ日の下におこなはるゝ事のうちの悪しき者たり そもそも人の息子らの心には悪しき事充ちをり その生ける間は心に狂気を懐くあり 後には死者の中に往くなり』（3節）
Almighty God on High, please remove all evil, folly, and madness from my heart.
高きにおはします全能の神さま、私の心から、どうぞすべての悪、愚かさ、また狂気を取り除いてください。
Please create within me a heart that stands against all the evil on this earth under the sun.
太陽の下のこの地上にあるすべての悪に対して立ち向かう心をどうぞ私の中に創造してください。
Help me to be
ever mindful that the day will soon come when I will go to the dead.
私が死者の中に行く日がもうすぐ来ることを常に心がけているように私を助けてください。
Please guide me to now prepare for my death and for facing
Almighty God in Judgment after I die.
私の死のために、また私が死んだ後、裁きで全能の神に直接会うために今準備しますようにどうぞ私を導いてください。
I pray these things for all other people also.
私はまたこれらの事をすべての、他の人々のために祈ります。
Please lead all souls to prepare for death, the one
event that happens to all living souls, by repenting unto God and trusting
in The Lord Jesus Christ to save them for all eternity.
神に悔い改めて、永遠に救ってくださる主イエス・キリストを信じることによって、すべての生ける魂に起こる重要なできごとである、死の準備をするように、どうぞすべての魂を導いてください。
For Thy Great Mercies’ Sake, please save many souls.
汝の大きな憐れみのために、どうぞ多くの魂を救ってください。
“For to him that is
joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead
lion.” (Verse
4)
『おおよそ活ける者の中に列る者は望あり 其は生ける犬は死せる獅子に愈(まさ)ればなり』（4節）
Lord Jesus Christ, I praise Thy Precious Name for the blessed hope
of eternal life that Thou doest give to all people who place their trust in Thee.
主イエス・キリストさま、汝を信じるすべての人々に、汝がお与えになる永遠の命の祝福された望みのゆえに、私は汝の尊い聖名をほめ讃えます。
I now cry out unto Thee to send
Thy Holy Spirit powerfully and mightily
upon all souls now joined to the living under
the sun.
太陽の下の生ける人たちに今加えられたすべての魂に強くまた強力に汝のご聖霊を遣わしてくださるようにと、私は今汝に叫び求めます。
Smite them with an urgency to now repent and trust in the Lord Jesus
Christ, because now is the day of salvation and no one has
the assurance he or she will be alive and among the living on this earth
tomorrow.
今悔い改めて、主イエス・キリストを信じるようにとの緊急性を持って彼らの心を打ってください。なぜなら、今が救いの日で、だれ一人として、彼や彼女が明日この地上に生きて、生ける人々の中にいるという保障が無いからです。
Now is the last day of salvation for the souls who die today.
今が、今日死ぬ魂のための救いの最後の日です。
Possibly today is the day of my death.
ひょっとすると、今日が 私の死の日かも知れません。
Save souls from the fatal vanity of rejecting The Saviour
of the world, The Lord Jesus Christ, Who stands able, willing, and ready to
save all who will come to Him.
ご自分に来るすべての人を救うことができ、進んで救い、また救う用意があられる、世の救い主、主イエス・キリストを拒絶するという致命的な空しさから魂を救ってください。
Bring souls to repentance, I
earnestly intercede and pray.
魂を悔い改めに連れて来てください、私は真剣に執り成し、祈ります。
“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not
anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is
forgotten.” (Verse 5)
『其は生ける者はその死なんことを知ればなり されど死ねる者は何事をも知らずまた應報(むくい)をうくることも重ねてあらず その記憶(おぼえ)らるゝ事も遂に忘れらるゝに至る』（5節）
Lord God, please save me from the vanity of shunning thoughts of death.
主なる神さま、死の思いを避ける空しさから私を救ってください。
Cause me to honestly admit to myself that I might die right now or
at any future time.
今か、あるいは将来の時点で私は死ぬかも知れないことを自分に正直に認めさせてください。
Help me to face death squarely by fully trusting in Christ for eternal life.
永遠のいのちのためにキリストを完全に信じることによって、まともに死に直面するように私を助けてください。
Help me to live each day as if it is my last day under the sun.
太陽の下の私の最後の日であるかのように、毎日生きるように私を助けてください。
Save me from the vanity of failing to work the works Thou
created me to do in this life under the sun.
汝が私に太陽の下のこの人生で行なうために創造された働きをする事ができない空しさから私を救ってください。
Please cause all lost people under the sun to now come to Christ, trust in the Lord
Jesus, and to thus become prepared for death.
どうぞ、太陽の下のすべての失われた人たちをキリストに来て、主イエスを信じ、こうして死のための準備をさせてください。
Please give each human soul under the sun the individual vision
that each one of us needs to save us from perishing.
私たち一人一人が自分を滅びから救わなければならないという個人的な幻を、太陽の下にいるそれぞれの人間にどうぞ与えてください。
“Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished;
neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under
the sun.” (Verse 6) "また彼らの愛、そして彼らの憎悪、そして彼らの羨望は、今死んでされ、彼らの太陽の下で行われている任意のものでこれまでの任意のより多くの部分はありませんどちらも。" （詩6）
Lord God in Heaven, please work most powerfully in my life right now to perfect my
love, my hatred, and my envy.
天の主なる神さま、私の愛、私の憎しみ、また私のねたみを完成するために、今私の人生で最も力強く働いてください。
May those
emotions of mine always be right in Thy Divine Sight.
私のそれらの感情がいつも汝の神聖な目に正しいものになりますように。
Remind me that all things under the sun will one day come
to an end and perish.
太陽の下にあるすべての物事は、いつの日か終わりが来て滅びることを私に気づかせてください。
While I am here on the earth, please
help me to set my affections on things above and not on things on the earth.
私が地上のここにいる間、地上のことにではなく、上のことに私の愛着を持つようにどうぞ私を助けてください。
Please cause me to constantly redeem the time, wisely using all my allotted time under the sun for Thy
Great Glory.
汝の大きなご栄光のために太陽の下の私のすべての割り当てられた時間を賢く使って、時間を絶えず買い戻るようにさせてください。
I pray these things for all other people also.
私はまたこれらの事を太陽の下にいます他の人々すべてのために祈ります。
Please save us all from the world and its allurements,
and from all vanity.
私たちのすべてを世からとその魅惑から、またすべての空しさからどうぞ救ってください。
“Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry
heart; for God now accepteth thy works.” (Verse
7)
『汝往きて喜悦(よろこび)をもて汝のパンを食らひ楽しき心をもて汝の酒を飲め 其は神久しく汝の行為(わざ)を受けたまへばなり』（第7節）
Almighty Lord God in Heaven, please teach me perfectly to work the
works that are acceptable to Thee.
天にまします全能の主なる神さま、汝に受け入れられる仕事を完全にしますように、どうぞ私に教えてください。
O Lord God Almighty, I want my life to be pleasing to Thee.
ああ全能の主なる神さま、私は、この人生が汝に喜んでいただけるものにしたいのです。
Please grant that prayer for me.
どうぞその祈りを私のためにお聞き届けください。
As I daily go my way, please lead me in paths of righteousness for
Thy Precious Name’s Sake.
私が毎日自分の道を行くとき、汝の尊い聖名のために、どうぞ義の道に私を導いてください。
Cause me to know the joy of the Lord and to have a merry heart
that comes from God on High.
主の喜びを私に知らせ、高きにおはす神から来ます陽気な心を私に持たせてください。
Thank Thee for giving me sufficient food to eat and drink.
私に飲み食いする十分な食料を与えてくださいますことを汝に感謝いたします。
Help me to daily give Thee thanksgiving for feeding me and for
making me joyful and happy.
私を養い、私を喜びに満たし、また幸せにしてくださる事に、毎日汝に感謝を捧げることを助けてください。
I pray these things for all other souls under the sun.
私はまた、これらの事を太陽の下にいます他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
“Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no
ointment.”
(Verse 8)
『汝の衣服(ころも)を常に白からしめよ 汝の頭(かしら)に膏(あぶら)を絶えしむるなかれ』（8節）
Lord Jesus, please clothe me in Thy Pure White Robes of God’s
Righteousness and Holiness.
主イエスさま、神の義と聖さの汝の白い衣服でどうぞ私をすっかり覆ってください。
Please anoint me with the ointment of Thy Holy Spirit.
どうぞ汝のご聖霊の膏で私に注いでください。
Please help me to daily seek a powerful
anointing of The Holy
Spirit’s Power upon my life.
私の人生に聖霊の力の強力な注ぎを毎日求めるようにどうぞ私を助けてください。
I pray these things for all other souls under the sun.
私はまた、これらの事を太陽の下にいます他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
“Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest
all the days of the life of thy vanity,
which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion
in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.” (Verse 9)
『日の下に汝が賜はるこの汝の空なるいのちの日の間 汝 その愛する妻とともに喜びてくらせ 汝の空なる生命の日の間しかせよ これは汝が世にありて受くる分汝が日の下に働ける労苦によりて得る者なり』（9節）
Heavenly Father, I pray that all married couples will be faithful to
each other till death do them part, and never put asunder that which God has
joined together in Holy matrimony.
天のお父さま、すべての夫婦は、死が引き離すまでお互いに忠実であり、また神が聖なる結婚で結び合わせたものを決して引き離してはならないようにと私は祈ります。
May each married couple give to each other the love and joy that
Thou hast ordained in marriage.
それぞれの夫婦は、汝が結婚で定められた愛と喜びを相互に与え合いますように。
Help husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and
gave Himself for it.
キリストが教会を愛し、そのためにご自身をささげられたように、夫たちが自分の妻を愛すように助けてください。
Please cause all married
couples to live for Thee during their lives under the sun.
すべての夫婦が、太陽の下のその人生でずっと汝のために生きるものとしてください。
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it
with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in
the grave, whether thou goest.” (Verse
10)
『すべて汝の手に堪(たふ)ることは力をつくしてこれを為せ そは 汝 の往(ゆか)んところの墓には工作(わざ)も計謀(はかりごと)も知識も智慧もあることなければなり』（10節）
Lord Jesus, please clearly guide me into the exact work Thou hast ordained for my life under
the sun.
主イエスさま、汝が、太陽の下の私の人生のために定められた正確な仕事へと、どうぞはっきりと私を導いてください。
Then empower me to do that work unto
completion with a great zeal for Thee, doing it with all my might.
それから、私の全力を尽してそれをして、汝のために非常な熱意で完了へとその働きをする力を私に与えてください。
When I am put into the grave, my opportunities to labour for Thee under the sun will be ended forever.
私が墓に入れられる時、太陽の下で汝のために働く私の機会は永遠に終了されるのです。
Please help me to work for Thee with all my might while it is day,
for the night cometh when no man can work.
昼間の間に全力を尽して汝のために働くようにどうぞ私を助けてください、それは誰も働く事ができない夜が来るからです。
I pray these things for all other souls under the sun.
私はまた、これらの事を、太陽の下にいます他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the
swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet
riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men
of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” (Verse
11)
『我また身をめぐらして日の下を観るに 迅速者(ときもの)走ることに勝つにあらず強者(つよきもの)戦争(たたかひ)に勝つにあらず 智慧者(かしこきもの)食物(くひもの)を獲(う)るにあらず 明哲人(さときひと)財寳(たから)を得(う)るにあらず 熟練人恩顧(めぐみ)を得(うる)にあらず すべて人に臨むところの事は時ある者偶然なる者なり』（11節）
Almighty Lord God, please help me to willingly and joyfully place my life into Thy Divine Hands, totally committing myself to my Creator God
without any reservation at all.
全能の主なる神さま、全く保留もせずわが創造者でおはす神に自分自身を完全にゆだねて、わが人生を汝の神聖なみ手に、進んでまた喜んで置くようにどうぞ私を助けてください。
Reveal to me the extent of Thy Love, Mercy, and Grace unto me.
私への汝の愛、憐れみ、また恵みの程度を私に明らかにしてください。
Convince me of Thy Unlimited Power that will work in my life for
my own good and for God’s Glory if only I will completely yield to Thee.
私の益のため、また私が汝に完全に明け渡しさえすれば、神の栄光のためにわが人生に働く汝の無限の力について私に悟らせてください。
Help me to live
for my Creator God and for Thee alone.
わが創造者でおはす神のため、また汝おひとりだけのために私を助けてください。
Convince me that I will have no worries or anxieties about my life
if only I will fully commit myself to Thee.
私が汝にゆだねさえすれば、私はわが人生についての心配も取り越し苦労もないことを私に悟らせてください。
Help me to give my life totally to the Lord Jesus Christ Who gave His
Life for me on the cross.
十字架の上で私のためにご自分のいのちを与えてくださった主イエス・キリストにわが人生を完全に捧げるように私を助けてください。
Then help me to
lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and help me
to run with patience the race of this life under the sun that is set before me.
それから、すべての重荷といとも簡単に絡みつく罪をかなぐり捨てるように私を助けて、また私の前に置かれている太陽の下のこの人生の競争を忍耐強く走るように私を助けてください。
Help me to always look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our
faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
信仰の創始者であり、完成者であるイエスさまをいつも見つめるように私を助けてください。このイエスさまは、ご自分の前に置かれた喜びのゆえに、恥をも嫌わないで十字架を耐え忍ばれました、それから神の玉座の右にお座りになっておられます。
Convince me that nothing happens to me by chance or circumstance,
but that each thing that comes into my life is ordained of Thee.
何も、偶然や状況によって、私に起こるのではなく、私の人生に来ることがそれぞれ、汝から定められたものであることを私に悟らせてください。
I thus pray for Thee to always keep me in the Center of Thy Divine
Will for me.
そのため私は私のために汝の神聖な御意思のセンターでいつも私を守ってくださいますように汝のために祈ります。
Save me from the vanity of
living outside Almighty God’s Will.
全能の神の御意思の外で、生きることの空しさから私を救ってください。
I also pray these things for all other souls under the
sun.
私はまた、これらの事を、太陽の下にいます他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
“For man also knoweth not his time: as the
fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the
snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.” (Verse 12)
『其は、人はまたその時を知らず 魚の悪の網にかかり鳥の罠にかかるが如くに世の人もまた禍患(わざわひ)の時の計らざるに臨むに及びてその禍患にかかるなり』(12節）
Lord God in Heaven, please have mercy on me and save me from all evil.
天におはします主なる神さま、どうぞ私を憐れんで私をすべての悪から救ってください。
Please come into my life right now to deliver me from all evil.
どうぞ、今私の人生に入って、すべての悪から私を救い出してください。
Guard my life against Satan’s evil nets and his evil snares.
サタンの邪悪な網とその邪悪な罠に対して私の人生を守ってください。
I confess that my Help is in The Name of The Lord Jesus Christ.
私の助けは主イエス・キリストの御名にある私は告白します。
Each and every time the enemy (the devil) lays a net, snare, or
trap for me; I pray that my soul would escape as a bird out of the snare of the
fowler.
毎回毎回、敵(悪魔)は私のために、網、罠か計略を敷きます。私の魂が鳥網から鳥のように逃れますように私は祈ります。
Please break those snares of the enemy and let me escape those
evil nets.
どうぞ敵のそれらの罠をこわして、その邪悪な網から私を逃れさせてください。
Please have mercy upon me and do not let an evil time fall
suddenly upon me.
どうぞ私を憐れんで、邪悪な時を突然私に襲いかからせないでください。
Save me from being snared in an evil time.
悪い時に罠にかかることから私を救ってください。
Convince me that I must totally rely on God’s Help to save me, and
that God’s Help is in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ.
私が、自分を救うために神の助けに完全に頼らなければならないこと、また神の助けが主イエス・キリストの御名にあることを私に悟らせてください。
I also pray these things for all other souls under the sun.
私はまた、これらの事を、太陽の下にいます他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
Save us all,
Lord, I pray.
私たちすべてを救ってください、主よ、私は祈ります。
“This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great
unto me:” (Verse 13)
『我日の下にこの事を観て智慧となし大いなる事となせり』
（13節）
Almighty Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that Thou hast been made
unto me Wisdom.
全能の主イエスキリストさま、汝が私に知恵となってくださいましたことを私は告白します。
Please impart unto me the ability to open my heart fully to Thee for the purpose of Thee
imparting God’s Divine Wisdom unto me in the exact measure
正確な尺度で私に神の神聖な知恵を与えてくださる汝の目的のために、私の心を汝に開く能力をどうぞ私に分け与えてください。
Thou doest deem best for me.
汝は私にとって最善を考えてくださいます。
Please teach me
the wisdom contained in this following account in this Scripture.
この聖書の中でこの次の記述に含まれた知恵をどうぞ私に教えてください。
I also pray these things for all other people under the sun.
私はまたこれらの事を、太陽の下の他の人々すべてのために祈ります。
“There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a
great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:” (Verse
14)
『すなはちここに一個(ひとつ)の小さき街ありて その中の人は少なかりしが大いなる王これに攻めきたりてこれを囲みこれに向かひて大いなる雲梯(うんてい)を建てたり』（14節）
“Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom
delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.” (Verse
15)
『時に街に中に一人の智慧ある貧しき人ありてその智慧をもて街を救へり 然るに誰ありてその貧しき人を記念(おもふ)もの無かりし』（15節）
Lord Jesus, please cause me to remember all the things that have come into my mind
during my life, that Thou doest desire that I keep in mind.
主イエスさま、私の人生でわたしの心に入ってくるすべての事柄、また汝が、私が心に留めておくことを切望されるすべての事柄をどうぞ私に記憶させてください。
Please sharpen my mind by Thy Divine Power and save me from the vanity of forgetfulness.
汝の神聖な御力によってどうぞ私の心を鋭敏にし、物忘れの空しさから私を救ってください。
Help me to always be mindful to be grateful for all goodness bestowed upon me
by both God and man.
神と人間の両方によって私に授けていただいたもろもろの恵みにありがたく感謝することを常に心がけるように私を助けてください。
I pray this for all other people also.
私はまたこれを他の人たちすべてのために祈ります。
“Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor
man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.” (Verse
16)
『ここにおいて 我言へり智慧は勇力(ちから)に優るものなりと それにもかかわらず かの貧しき人の智慧は軽んぜられその言詞(ことば)は聴かれざりしなり』（16節）
Almighty Heavenly Father, convince
me that true wisdom is better than strength.
全能の天のお父さま、真の知恵は力よりも優っていることを私に悟らせてください。
Please save me from the awful vanity of despising a poor man’s wisdom, and
thus not listening to his words of wisdom simply because he is poor.
貧しい男の人の知恵をひどく嫌って、このように、単に、彼が貧しいという理由だけで、彼の知恵のことばを聴こうとしないという恐ろしいほどの空しさから、どうぞ私を救ってください。
Reveal to me what great loss I will suffer during my days under
the sun, if I despise poor, wise men, and thus do not listen to their wisdom
because they are poor.
もし、私が、貧乏で、賢い人たちを軽蔑し、それゆえ、この方々が貧乏であるという理由で、彼らの知恵を聴こうとしないならば、太陽に下の私の日の間に、どれ程の大きな損害を私は受けるのだろうか私に明らかにしてください。
Save me from the vanity of despising the poor because they are
poor.
貧しいという理由で貧乏な人たちを軽蔑する事の空しさから私を救ってください。
Please make me a friend and helper of the poor.
どうぞ私を貧しい人たちの友人と助け手にしてください。
Make me ever so alert to glean wisdom from poor people.
貧しい人たちから知恵を少しずつ集めるために私を非常に敏感にしてください。
Almighty Lord Jehovah God, right now, please create within me a
fiery, burning, passionate desire to be most profitable to Thee and to mankind,
like this poor wise man who delivered this little city from the destructive
power of a great king.
全能の主・エホバでおはします神さま、汝と、ひとりの大王の破壊力からこの小さな街を救い出したこのような貧しく賢い男の人のような人類に、非常に有益であるために、今、燃えるような、熱烈で、情熱的な強い願望を、どうぞ私の内に創造してください。
Help me to become totally willing to become poor in every way,
in order to become such a useful and profitable person.
そのような役に立つ、また有益な人になるために、あらゆる方法で、私が完全に快く貧しくなるのを助けてください。
Help me not to care one bit that no one would remember me for the
profitable (even lifesaving) service that I rendered.
私が尽した有益な(人命救助でさえ)貢献をした理由で誰も私を覚えていくても少しもかまわないように私を助けてください。
Save me from the vanity of desiring to be in the spotlight and
to be praised by a fallen human race, which at their very best estate are
nothing more than vanity.
世の注目を浴びたい、堕落した人類によって賞賛を受けたいと切望する空しさから私を救ってください。それは、まさに最高の状態でも、空しさ以上の何ものでもないからです。
Almighty Lord God, please hear my frantic and desperate cry now for great mercy from Heaven.
全能の主なる神さま、天からの大いなる憐れみのゆえに、今、私の 気も狂わんばかりの、必死になって叫ぶのをどうぞ聴いてください。
This fallen,
sinful human race is daily perishing.
この堕落した、罪の穢れに満ちた人類は毎日滅んでいます。
Teach me how that God chooses people to point everyone under the
sun to The Lord Jesus Christ for all the help they need.
どのように神さまが人々を選び、太陽の下のあらゆるすべての人を指して、彼らの必要とするすべての助けのために主イエス・キリストに向かせるのかを私に教えてください。
Wouldest Thou please have mercy upon
me, and extend great grace unto me by choosing me to be most profitable to all Thy Creation by pointing the entire
lost human race to The Lord Jesus Christ.
どうぞ汝が私を憐れんで、失われた人類全体を、主イエス・キリストに指し示すことによって、汝の創造すべてに最も有益であるために私をお選びになられたことによって、私に大きな恵みを及ぼしてください。
Why should it be thought incredible that Almighty God would do
this!?
なぜ、全能の神がこのようなことをなさったことを信じられないと考えられなければならないのでしょうか！？
I also pray these things for all other human souls now under the
sun.
私はまた太陽の下の、他の人類すべてのためにこれらの事を祈ります。
“The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him
that ruleth among fools.”(Verse
17)
『静かに聴ける智者の言(ことば)は愚者のつかさたる者の呼ばわりに優る』（17節）
Lord Jesus, please make me truly wise in Thy Sight.
主イエスさま、どうぞ私を汝の御目に本当に賢い者にしてください。
Please make me into a soul winner.
どうぞ私を、魂を捕える者にしてください。
“He
that winneth souls is wise.”
『魂を捕える者は賢い』
Save me from the vanity of being a fool and from the vanity of ruling among fools.
愚か者である空しさから、愚か者たちの間を支配する空しさから私を救ってください。
Save me from the vanity of trying to make my speech convincing
simply by speaking loudly.
私の演説を単に大声で話すことによって説得させようとする空しさから私を救ってください。
Teach me the wisdom of speaking quietly when that is appropriate.
静かに話す事がふさわしい時その知恵を私に教えてください。
Please help me to always listen to wise people, no matter how
lowly and poor they may be.
たとえが賢い人たちがどんなに身分が低く、貧しくとも、その方々に常に耳を傾けるようにどうぞ私を助けてください。
Help me to follow the wisdom I glean from them in accordance with
Thy Will for me.
私のための汝の御意思にしたがって彼らから私が少しずつ集める知恵に従うように私を助けてください。
I pray these things for all other souls under the sun.
私はまたこれらの事を、太陽の下の、他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
“Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.” (Verse 18)
『智慧は戦争(いくさ)の武器に優れり 然れども一人の罪人は許多(あまた)の善事(よきわざ)を壊(そこな)ふなり』（18節）
Lord God Almighty, please convince me that wisdom is better than
weapons of war, and please
fill me with Thy Wisdom.
主なる全能の神さま、知恵は戦争の武器よりも優れていることをどうぞ私に悟らせて、そしてどうぞ私を汝の知恵で満たしてください。
Cause me to read Thy Holy Bible
much every day and by Thy Holy Spirit, please teach
me all the wisdom that is in the Bible.
毎日汝の聖書を多く私に読ませてくださり、汝の御聖霊によって、聖書の中にある知恵をすべて、どうぞ私に教えてください。
Please save me from being a
sinner.
どうぞ私を罪人であることから救ってください。
Please save me from sinning.
罪を犯すことから私を救ってください。
Please save me from the vanity of destroying much good.
多くの善事を破壊することの空しさからどうぞ私を救ってください。
I pray these things for all other people under the sun.
私はこれらの事を、太陽の下にいる他の魂すべてのために祈ります。
Please hear and answer my
prayers, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s Precious Name’s Sake.
主イエス・キリストの尊い御名のために、どうぞ私の祈りを聞いて答えてください。
I thank and praise Thee,
Almighty Jehovah God, for hearing and answering these prayers of mine, and
extending such great mercy and grace unto me.
全能のエホバでおはします神さま、私のこれらの祈りを聞いて答え、そのような大きな憐れみと恵みを私に施してくださいましたゆえに、汝に感謝し、ほめ讃えます。
